TwittSMS es un plugin para WordPress que permite poner una caja de texto en tu blog para que tus visitantes puedan enviar SMS a tu móvil sin conocer el número.

Ofrecemos este plugin en dos sabores: español e inglés.

== Instalación ==

Cómo instalar y hacer funcionar twittSMS.

= Tips =

* No puedes enviarte mensajes directos a ti mismo en twitter. Así que es necesario un usuario adicional.
* Los mensajes directos sólo pueden enviarse entre amigos, así que hay que hacer que nuestros dos usuarios sean amigos (se ‘folloween’ mutuamente).

= Haciendo que funcione =

1.- Ve a twitter y hazte un nuevo usuario. Vamos a usar el usuario ‘mootweet’ para este ejemplo.
2.- Loguéate con el usuario ‘mootweet‘ en twitter.com
3.- Ve a la página de twitter de tu usuario habitual (en nuestro caso, http://twitter.com/mecus).
4.- Haz clic en ‘follow‘. Ahora, ‘mootweet’ está siguiendo a ‘mecus’.
5.- Sal del sistema y haz un nuevo login con tu usuario habitual (en nuestro caso, ‘mecus’).
6.- Ve a ‘Settings > Devices‘ y añade tu número de teléfono (si no lo has hecho aún). Sigue las instrucciones.
7.- Cambia el valor de ‘Mobile Phone Device Updates‘ a ‘Direct Messages‘. Ahora, si alguien te envía un mensaje directo, éste se enviará a tu móvil.

= Instalando el plugin =

1.- Descárgate el plugin.
2.- Copia el directorio /twittSMS/ en tu directorio de plugins. Si la ruta final no es /plugins/twittSMS/, el plugin no funcionará.
3.- Activa el plugin en tu WordPress.
4.- Ve a ‘Diseño > Widgets‘ y añádelo a tu sidebar en la posición que prefieras.
5.- Pincha en editar. Escribe tu usuario de twittSMS y su password, y tu usuario de twitter. Desde este momento cualquiera de tus visitantes podrá enviarte un SMS a través de tu página web / blog.
6.- Guarda los cambios.

If you configure it, twitter can send you notifications to your phone. We have used it to make a plugin that allows people to send you direct messages. If you have right configured your twitter account, it will send a SMS to your mobile phone.

= Tips =

* You cannot send direct messages to yourself in twitter. So we need a new twitter user.
* Direct messages can only be sent between friends. So you must make friends (following and follower) with the new user.
* Standard rates apply.

= Making it work =

1.- Go to twitter, and make a new user. We are going to use ‘mootweet’ in this example.
2.- Log in with ‘mootweet‘ user.
3.- Go to your usual user twitter page (in our case, http://twitter.com/mecus).
4.- Click on ‘follow‘. Now ‘mootweet’ is following ‘mecus’.
5.- Now log off and log on into your usual user account (in our case, ‘mecus’).
6.- Go to ‘Settings > Devices‘ and add your mobile phone (if not done yet). Follow instructions.
7.- Change ‘Mobile Phone Device Updates‘ to ‘Direct Messages‘. Now, if someone sends you a direct
message, it will be sent to your mobile phone.

= Installing the plugin =

1.- Download the plugin.
2.- Put /twittSMS/ directory in your plugins directory. If it is not in /plugins/twittSMS/, it won’t work.
3.- Activate the plugin in your WordPress plugins place.
4.- Go to ‘Design > Widgets‘ and add it to your favourite sidebar.
5.- Edit it. Put your twittSMS user and password, and your twitter username. Now, people will be allowed
to send SMS to you through your web page or blog.
6.- Save changes.
